RESERVATIONS
The cost of a full day’s driven partridges on the hill is £6,800, plus VAT, including lunch. This works out at £22.50 per bird for a 300 bird day, the average bag last season. Overage will be charged at £22.50 plus VAT per bird. The cost of a day’s driven pheasants is £27, plus VAT, per bird in the bag (including lunch). Pheasant days have a target bag – 150-300 – depending on the time of the season and this is a minimum charge. It is used to calculate the deposit when a full day is booked. Guns are expected to shoot through the whole day. For all driven days the tenant is required to sign a contract.
We also now offer smaller driven days on weekdays of 100 plus birds for both partridges (£22.50 a bird, plus VAT) and pheasants (£27 a bird, plus VAT).
Deposits, 50% of half the fixed cost of a partridge day and 50% of the target bags for all driven pheasant days and the smaller partridge days, are payable by April 15th or within 2 weeks of sending out the contract and invoice. Contracts and invoices can only be given to, and paid by, one party. The Cleggan Shoot will not be responsible for collecting fees or charges from individual guns.
Our walked up days cost £200 per gun with a maximum of 6 guns. These days include the smaller drives we have developed over the last 10 years. There will be 3 new small drives in the 2011/12 season.
Insurance against wet weather can be arranged.
Lunch is included in all the main driven days. If elevenses are required they should be arranged by the named tenant of the day although the Cleggan Shoot can make arrangement for elevenses if given good notice. Cost will be £255. For walked up and small driven days guns have to bring their own lunch and a lunch room will be provided. Normal tipping of the head keeper and the lunch steward is expected. The Shoot Captain can advise.
